I've had the Z1 howe radiator for over a year now and I have never had any over heating problems with it. I did not put any of the fan shrouds back on either. And I live in the southeast where it gets hot most of the year. My temp guage is always at below the halfway mark. I have the nismo thermostat an Nismo radiator cap, I have replaced all my coolant hoses, and run redline water wetter. I don't know if any of that helps but I know that my Z runs good coolant wise. Maybe you didn't at enough coolant. as far as the hood latch brackets go, I was pissed as well when I figured out that the only way to make them work is to cut on them and to cut on the radiator. I sure as hell didn't do that, the upper radiator hose will hold the radiator back and keep it from moving any. but the hood latch will bump around under the hood. So until I get something like the concept Z Howe radiator bracket I have to remove the hood latch and put it in the hatch. A PITA when you need to pop your hood to check something out. but other than that issue I haven't had any problems and have been satisfied with the product and its performance. It does it's job.
